February News

Dear TBIBC Members

Thank you for your interest in the Tampa Bay International Business Council, the umbrella body of the bi-national communities of Tampa Bay / West Florida. Here are some February/March events. There is also another business culture snippet.

Cultural snippet
Here is a contribution towards your business’ cultural fluency vision: http://www.trainingmag.com/node/12670. Cultural fluency takes work, but it is simply a process. The bottom-line impact and rewards are huge, and the journey is affordable, do-able and well-supported by funding and expertise in our region.

One way to consolidate this journey is through TBIBC, a free non-profit organization, run by some of the most competent and respected executives and professionals in our region. TBIBC is sponsored by great companies, with a strong sense of community responsibility, such as Bright House, Nielsen, Fowler White, Ogletree Deakins, Regions and Tech Data to provide on-going interaction between our mainstream and multi-cultural business communities.

Important news
Everyone is delighted that the Tampa Bay Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Tampa Latin Chamber of Commerce have merged their organizations and have become one united chamber of commerce, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Tampa Bay (“HCCTB”).
