Chairman

Tom Mortenson is a noted national speaker on a variety of topics including government reform, ethics, women’s suffrage, and the Grand Army of the Republic.  He has served in leadership positions in government including youth adviser to President Nixon, Racine City Council President and Becker County Administrator.  He has served in various roles in the military (Active, Guard, and Reserve) for 39 years and is currently a strategic planner. His interest in the suffragist movement was inspired by his grandmother who was a suffragist in Racine, Wisconsin.  He served as President of the Scandinavian Trade Association and is a former TBIBC Vice-President.  Tom owes a number of companies including those dealing with marketing, distribution, and real estate.

 Advisory Board

Ileana De Leon Martin.   Founder of Mañana Marketing  which is a full-service marketing, advertising and public relations firm specializing in Spanish language initiatives.  Ileana  has over 28 years of experience in helping businesses and organizations successfully target the Latino community locally and abroad.  She is President/Chair of Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Tampa Bay.

Karl Kaliebe, President and Executive Director of  World Trade Center Tampa Bay.  Karl Kaliebe has always pursued entrepreneurship and corporate stewardship efforts through extensive collaboration. Karl combines that philosophy with his extensive exposure to innovation, brand management and trade during 15 years working in Asia, primarily Taiwan and China, to guide the WTCTB mission to assist

Tampa’s international business exchanges.Past Presidents of TBIBC are automatically members of the Advisory Board.
